Eggs Retrieval

Ovarian puncture

The eggs will be aspirated from the ovaries around 36 hours after the hCG injection or agonist trigger under vaginal ultrasound guidance. The procedure is usually done with an anaesthetist administering general anaesthesia or sedation or even local anaesthesia. Antibiotics will be given to prevent infection. The whole procedure takes less than 30 minutes.
