General Advice for Fertility
Natural Conception
Natural conception is a miraculous and complex process.
The female partner must have normal ovulation and at least one normal fallopian tube. The male partner must have sufficient mobile sperms of normal morphology. To achieve a pregnancy, the couple should have sex at around ovulation time. The egg and the sperms meet in the fallopian tube so that fertilization can take place. After fertilization, the egg will be transported back to the uterine cavity for implantation. Sex should take place every 2 to 3 days. Provided both partners are fertile and sex takes place at the right time, the pregnancy rate per month is around 20-30%.
